Hijacking is taking over an aircraft by one person or a group of persons, mostly armed. In such a situation, the leader among them may order the pilot to fly the aircraft to a destination of their choice or crash the aircraft in a suicidal mission as in the case of September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States.
