Glossary

Esophagus: The food pipe that carries food from the pharynx into the stomach.

Trachea: The windpipe that allows the passage of air into the lungs.

Larynx: The area of the throat containing the vocal cords and used for breathing, swallowing, and talking. Also called the voice box.
