Summer comes with the worries of getting tanned and sunburned. With the scorching temperature during day-time, tanning has become a common problem for both men and women. Using sunblock and covering the face with scarves is just not enough. Tanned brown skin might have been a famous trend in western countries but in Asian countries like India, China and Japan, white flawless skin is still preferred by some. Like most other problems, the solution to this lies in the nature, to be more precise, in our kitchen. Try these natural home remedies to get rid of tan. Viola! Get soft, glowing and detanned skin in just a matter of minutes.
Yogurt: Yogurt is not just an ideal food for weight-loss but is also very effective for detanning skin after a long day out in the sun. Yogurt soothes the skin and relieves it from reddening and irritation due to sunburn. A mixture of yogurt and turmeric is the most common household trick to get rid of tan and get a glowing skin. Apply directly on the target areas and wash with cool water after it dries. Fuller's earth (multani mitti) or Bengal gram flour (besan) is also an ideal option in place of turmeric in yogurt.

Or you can slice potatoes and place it on your face, feet, hand and other areas. Potatoes have natural bleaching properties. They help to reduce tan and other dark marks and patches on the skin.
Fresh Milk Cream and Saffron: Fresh milk and saffron mixture was used by our ancestors to get a glowing skin. Soak saffron in fresh milk cream overnight and apply next morning on your face. They help in detanning and eliminate irritation and itchiness post sunburn. Make a paste of oatmeal with tomato juice and apply on your face.
