Medindia.net becomes WAP enabled

Medindia.net, healthcare and medical portal, has becomes WAP (wireless application protocol) enabled.
Addressing presspersons here, Dr. Sunil Shroff, CEO, MedIndia.net, the largest and oldest portal dedicated to healthcare in India, said WAP enabling of the site would allow the public to access MedIndia's vast content of medical information while on the move.
Having completed four years, the portal has a database on healthcare from all over India with two lakh entries. The wide range of search options includes details of doctors by name or by specialization. The company plans to tie up with insurance companies for providing service relating to medical claims, Dr. Shroff said.
Medindia.net is promoted by FrontPoint Systems and the content and medical expertise for the site is provided by Medical Computer Society of India, a professional forum for medical and InfoTech professionals.
Dr. Shroff and MedIndia plans to offer other health utilities like interactive clinical tools, cyber clinics, B2B solutions for healthcare industry in the coming months.
