Postal Index Number (PIN) or Zip code is a 6 digit code. There are 8 PIN regions in India. Understanding how PIN Code works is simple if you understand the following:
  • The first two digits of the PIN Code together indicates the sub region or one of the postal circles.
  • The first three digits of the PIN Code together indicates a sorting / revenue district.
  • The last three digits of the PIN Code refer to the delivery Post Office.
