How to avoid spread of Flood Water Borne Diseases?

  • Don't drink, swim, bathe or play in floodwaters.
  • Wash hands thoroughly after exposure to flood waters.
  • Keep children away from floodwater.
  • Don't expose your wounds to the contaminated water.

Formulation of Oral rehydration solution recommended by the WHO:

  • Sodium chloride - 3.5g
  • Potassium chloride - 1.5 g
  • Sodium citrate - 2.9g
  • Glucose - 20.0 g

To be dissolved in 1 liter of clean drinking water.

Very helpful information I think we should use water purifiers like Kent for making the water clean. so that we can keep the water borne diseases away. It's also our responsibility to keep the water sources clean.
