Information about Malaria causing Mosquito Anopheles species
Pupa stage
- This stage is the resting or quiescent stage and it does not take any food.
- The pupa is comma shaped .
- The pupa stage is very sensitive to movement and moves away from the source of disturbance.
Adult stage
- The outer skin of the pupa breaks and the mosquito emerges from it.
- It takes ten to twelve days for completing the life cycle from egg stage to adult stage.
