Medications used for treatment of giardiasis include-
- Metronidazole, which is the most common and most often recommended drug to treat giardiasis.
- Tinidazole
- Quinacrine hydrochloride
- Furazolidone, which is used as an alternative drug for children as it is available in liquid form.
