What are the Symptoms and Signs of Norovirus?
Typical symptoms of norovirus infection include -
► Vomiting (mostly observed in children)
► Watery diarrhea (often in adults)
► Stomach cramps.
Other symptoms include -
► Low-grade fever and chills
► Aches in the muscles
Although not serious, symptoms such as diarrhea and vomiting can cause dehydration. Care should be taken to avoid depletion of nutrients through vomiting or diarrhea which can have serious implications, especially in children and the elderly.
Dehydration symptoms include dizziness, decrease in the frequency of urination and dry mouth.
