What are the Complications of Menopause?
Menopause is associated with hormonal changes. The decreased estrogen levels have been linked with long-term effects like:
- Bone loss and osteoporosis
- Changes in cholesterol levels
- Increased risk of heart disease
Some women might have vaginal bleeding post menopause. One should inform the doctor immediately as it may be an early sign of other health problems, including cancer.
