What is Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome ?  

A condition that causes extreme tiredness, that is debilitating and lasts for six months or longer. Some have pain in joints and muscles, headache and sorethroat.


Cause(s) :  
  • Idiopathic.
  • Sometimes a combination of factors like
  • Viral infections
  • Chemical toxins
  • Allergies
  • Immune abnormalities
  • Psychologic disorders can cause the condition.
Symptoms :  
  • Pain in joints and muscles
  • Sore throat
  • Headaches
  • Fever and Chills
  • Unrefreshing sleep
  • Cognitive symptoms like inability to concentrate and memory loss
Diagnosis and Tests :  
  • No specific tests.
  • Diagnosis is based on clinical presentation.
  • Recurring chronic fatigue lasting for at least six months, not resulting from physical or mental exertion.
  • The fatigue is not relieved by sleep or rest.
  • Four or more of the symptoms listed, being present for at least six months without any other underlying cause.
