A: Regular exercise and periodic massages have shown to provide temporary relief.

Q: Is PLMD related to Restless legs syndrome (RLS)?

A: Yes, Periodic limb movement disorder is a ‘cousin’ to RLS. Dopamine depletion has been implicated as a causative factor in both these movement disorders.

Q: Does a diagnosis of PLMD always warrant therapy?

Q: How would I know if the movements are disturbing my sleep?
