Symptoms

  • An afflicted person may initially feel like he is going to catch a cold.
  • Eventually a solitary, red-colored, scaly rash may appear on the stomach or on the back. This is referred to as a ‘herald patch’. If the patch shows up on the back it might resemble a Christmas tree.
  • Weeks later, smaller-sized spots may appear on other parts of the body. These lesions will develop along the cleavage lines.

    • Physical activities, like jogging or a warm-water bath may cause the rash to aggravate.
    • The rash may fade away within two months time, but may sometimes last longer.
    • Sometimes other symptoms, like fatigue and aches, may bother the affected person
