Glossary

Congenital abnormalities: Abnormalities that are present from birth including inherited conditions or those caused by complications.

Radioisotope: An isotope with an unstable nucleus that emits radiation as it decays to a stable form.

Intravenous: Direct administration of medications into the veins.
