About
Eyelids are structures that act as shutters covering the eyes. They serve an important function of protecting the eye balls. They play a very important role of lubricating the eye and help in tear drainage. Eye lids have oil secreting glands in them which secrete oil to contribute to the tear film. They are two in number. The upper lid in larger in size compared to the lower lid. They have a row of eye lashes growing from its outer margin(1✔ ✔Trusted Source
