A healthy diet that is rich in nutrients such as vitamins and minerals is essential for a healthy body. Include foods in your diet such as fruits and vegetables that are rich in vitamin A and C.

These foods will help fight against free radicals in your body that are responsible for inflammation, and help to reduce painful swelling around the neck. Food items such as turmeric root extract, garlic, cloves and cinnamon can also help in reducing joint irritation. Foods like milk, almonds, soybeans etc. are a rich source of calcium.
