Prognosis and Complications of Bipolar Disorder

Both mania and depression are associated with a serious risk of suicidal tendency. Alcohol and/or drug abuse are/is extremely common.

Mood-stabilizing medications help people with bipolar disorders to lead normal lives. Owing to the side effects, medical supervision is important with regards to drug usage.

Both mania and depression are associated with a serious risk of suicidal tendency. Suicidal thoughts and behaviour need to be dealt with at the earliest. Alcohol and/or drug abuse are/is extremely common. Patients also suffer problems with relationships, work, and finances.
