Frequently Asked Questions

1. Which doctors treat a Broken Ankle?

Ankle fractures are treated by an Orthopedician.

2. How do you heal a Broken Ankle faster?

Reduction (bone realignment) or placing a splint is the first step to put a displaced bone back into position or to treat a suspected fracture until X-ray confirmation. This prevents extensive soft tissue damage and swelling and accelerates the process of healing.

3. How long does it take to recover from a Broken Ankle?

A patient can resume normal activity and bear heavy loads in 12 to 16 weeks, following the injury.
