Glossary

Cholestasis: Condition due to buildup of bile in the liver that eventually causes liver damage.

Posterior embryotoxon: An opaque ring formed around the cornea of the eye. It does not affect vision.

Xanthomas: Fat deposits in areas like the skin, joints, muscle and tendons are called xanthomas.

Pruritus: Itching often caused due to the buildup of bilirubin in the liver.
