Pus stripping - Is the process of removing pus from the abscess, it is a more painful procedure but more effective than removal of milk. 

Therapeutic ultrasound - This method is used to treat breast engorgement and mastitis. 

Cabbage leaves - Used for relieving of symptoms of engorgement. Used as cold packs to overcome pain.

Food diets - Avoid taking fatty foods.

Homeopathy treatment - Use of belladonna, Phytolacca, chamomilla, sulphur and Bellis perenis.

Herbal treatment - Use of Chinese herbs for treatment - Fructus gleditsiae.
