Translocations - rearrangement of genes between two different chromosomes.Karyotype - A cytogenetic test that helps to identify numerical or structural chromosomal abnormalities.
FISH - Fluorescent In Situ Hybridization. A cytogenetic test that makes use of radioactive or fluorescent probes to identify chromosomal abnormalities.
Remission - A patient is said to be in remission when the blood counts return to normal and bone marrow samples show a disease-free state.
