Women More Prone to Road Rage - Controlling Anger

Controlling Anger

The ways of expressing anger depends on the upbringing of the individual. From a young age men were given the right to express anger whereas women were always supposed to maintain a cool temper. It was often mentioned by our parents that girls should not show anger and that they should always suppress their emotions. But suppressing emotions for too long leads to explosion. More and more women are therefore turning aggressive and committing acts of violence from behind the wheel.

Road rage can be a result of not just one incident, but a series of stressful events. Caprina D’Souza, a working woman says, “When I am upset and worked up with certain things at home and in the office, I generally take it out behind the wheel.” Generally women are safer drivers, unless afflicted with road rage, and that will mostly be due to people around them.
