Glossary

Colon: The longest part of the large intestine

Saturated fats: A fat that which is solid at room temperature, and comes chiefly from animal food products.

Anti-oxidants: Substances that remove potentially damaging oxidizing agents in living organisms.

Omega 3 fatty acids: Essential fats found in fish, walnuts and flaxseeds that have numerous health benefits

Phytonutrients: Substances found in certain plants which are beneficial to human health and help prevent various diseases.
