Take Time for Exercise

Take Time for Exercise

In today’s fast paced life; people hardly find time to exercise. A recent study revealed that exercising for even less than an hour done on a weekly basis reduces the risk of heart diseases. Make time for exercising for at least half an hour two or three times a week. If you do not find time to hit the gym just go for a brisk walk in the morning or in the evening. Gradually develop your stamina and increase the pace and the distance. You can also go for a jog. This is as good a running on the treadmill. Remember the busiest people in the world (President Obama, Bill Clinton or Rahul Gandhi) find time in their daily routine for exercise.  Also remember ‘Only a fit body  can house a fit mind.’

If you hate the drudgery of the gym, make your workouts seem more like play. Even half an hour of such intense activity will help you burn away 200 to 400calories a day. If you play religiously three times a week for about 30 minutes  you will end up loosing 6 kilos in a year. Make certain changes in your lifestyle like taking the stairs. Simply quit using the elevator for those toned legs! Nothing tones the calf muscles and inner thighs as much as climbing the stairs. If the shopping area is near to your house  use your legs instead of a vehicle.

Remember muscles burn calories five times faster than flab.  Contrary to the popular belief, a woman’s body does not become ‘bulky’ when she trains her muscles.
