How can you Treat Paralysis?
Treatment depends on the underlying cause and symptoms observed. This may involve direct medical interventions or rehabilitation strategies, as discussed below:
- Medications: Medicines such as painkillers and muscle relaxants may help to relieve pain, stiffness and muscle spasms. For example, in the case of spastic paralysis, BOTOX (Botulinum toxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum) may be recommended.

- Occupational Therapy: This is aimed at helping the patient to adapt to the home environment so that everyday tasks such as dressing, cooking, grooming and other activities become easier.
