Sjögren’s syndrome: A chronic autoimmune disease in which the body’s white blood cells attack the exocrine glands such as salivary and lacrimal glands, causing their destruction and lymphocytic infiltration of the glands.Xerosis: Medical term for dryness. For example, xerosis cutis refers to dry skin.
