Glossary

Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor: A type of tumor that usually begins in cells in the wall of the gastrointestinal tract. It can be benign or malignant.

Biopsy: A procedure used extensively to extract cells and tissues for examination to verify the presence of disease.

Cancer: A disease which is caused by the abnormal multiplication of cells in an uncontrollable fashion.

Human beings were designed to squat for defecation. In squatting cultures, colon cancer is virtually unknown. The western toilet prevents complete evacuation of the colon and leads to fecal stagnation.
