Wockhardt Recalls 100,000 Bottles of Hypertension Drug in US
More than 1 lakh bottles of its hypertension drug metoprolol has been recalled from the US market by Mumbai-based pharmaceutical company Wockhardt, the US Food and Drug Administration revealed.
The move comes after two of Wockhardt facilities at Chikalthana and Waluj in Aurangabad had been barred by the FDA from exporting drugs to the US.

According to the FDA, the bottles have been recalled after they failed the dissolution test, which measures the time taken by a drug to be absorbed by the body.
