When Do High Heels Begin to Hurt?
Wearing high heels does give women a high, only till it starts hurting. Is there a way to know how long it takes before it begins to hurt?
An interesting survey has revealed that high heels begin to hurt after one hour, six minutes and 48 seconds. But, for those who are really delicate, it could begin to hurt within ten minutes of wearing high heels.

A survey of 2,000 men and women, and 60 podiatrists and chiropodists found that feet often turn sore after wearing high heels. Most people walked home barefoot after a night out. Further, wearing high heels also increased the risk of problems pertaining to sprains, strains, corns and bunions.

Research also showed that women were three times likely to squeeze their feet into uncomfortable shoes.

Mike O'Neill, a consultant podiatrist at the College, said: 'There is absolutely no doubt that women who wear high heels are putting themselves at risk of permanent injury in the name of fashion.'
