Blue light can be much more effective alternative to coffee, reveals researchers.
The research done in the Mid Sweden University has found that blue light might be more effective to keep one alert, News.com.au reported.
The researchers set up an experiment where one group of people was given a hit of caffeine, whereas the other group was exposed to blue light for an hour.
When the results from a series of brain function tests were compared, it was found that the blue light group had performed much better than the coffee drinkers in tests that included a distraction.
It was also found that blue light can be effective at making us more alert, but it needs to be used at the right time of the day, as blue light may give one a good jolt in the morning, but it also might do damage at night.
