Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Saturday appointed popular yoga guru Baba Ramdev as 'brand ambassador' of the state.
"I have a surprise gift for all. Baba Ramdev has not only agreed to spread yoga and ayurveda in the state but also to act as brand ambassador of Bihar," Nitish Kumar said in the presence of the tele-guru.He was speaking at the conclusion of Ramdev's seven-day yoga training camp here that drew large crowds.
During his weeklong stay in this capital, the Bihar government had accorded him the unprecedented status of a state guest.
Nitish Kumar praised Ramdev for "awakening the people of Bihar" and his endeavor to make them "fearless individuals".
Ramdev assured him that he would work towards improving the image of Bihar.
