Tackling of Cannabis Addiction

Health Department of New South Wales has conducted a study which revealed that cannabis addiction can have a serious impact on the user's physical health .

It is one of the most dangerous types of mental health conditions. Cannabis abuse can lead to cardiovascular, respiratory and immune system problems.

It can decrease short-term memory and also slow brain development at a young age. New South Wales Health Minister John Hatzistergos will open the state's fourth cannabis treatment clinic in southern Sydney.

He pointed out to the ill-effects of the drug and warned people against its usage.

Though the number of people affected by cannabis had fallen, the increasing potency of the drug is posing increased health risks.

He said that the dangers of cannabis use are largely increasing due to the fact that the cannabis which is used at present is very powerful that the drug that was used 10 years ago.

Hence he urged the people to understand and weigh the disadvantages over the advantages of the drug before continuous usage.
