Yale University guidelines for Physicians and Pharmaceutical industry

Yale University School of Medicine has drafted guidelines to be followed by the principal investigator of the project in Yale University and Pharmaceutical industry for effective and critical interactions between University and Pharmaceutical Industry.

The guidelines are prepared to maintain stringent quality of the research and also recommend that University investigator should not accept any gifts, drugs for personal use, money other than funding from the pharmaceutical industry as this would make the investigators report the results in favor of the drug.

The guidelines also orders strict quality control maintenance and standards in the experiments done by the University staff and this decision making results of the University should not be compromised by the fund or personal relationship with the pharmaceutical industry without compromising the ethical relationship with the industry.
