How to prevent wrinkles?

by Medindia Content Team on Nov 17 2001 6:36 PM

Researchers made a study on a group of older people in order to show- how eating patterns can stop you getting wrinkles. They have been looking at a group of 300 people aged 60 or over living in many countries . They have found that whether they were fair or dark-skinned, those who ate lots of green leafy vegetables, beans, olive oil, nuts and multigrain bread, were less susceptible to wrinkling. Eating less butter, red meat and sugar was also linked to keeping a smoother skin.

Since antioxidants like vitamins A, C and E are abundant in fruits and vegetables . they help to protect the skin from age and sun-related damage which otherwise lead to wrinkling. In general a healthy diet helps in maintaining the skin.
