Bird flu scare in Australia

Bird flu scare in Australia was reported after a man was admitted in the Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney.

The man had collapsed in the flight from Taipei and the air port authorities removed him from the flight.

He was taken to the hospital after he complained of feeling tired and not keeping well.

He had arrived on a flight from South –East Asia. He is kept in the hospital in total isolation.

The hospital spokesman said that he was admitted in the hospital at 1.30 pm. The airport authorities had contacted the hospital ambulance and he was delivered to this hospital.

The man was now subjected to all the possible tests and the hospital authorities are not confirming the report.

The hospital authorities say that they have not got a proper diagnosis and would need some more time to confirm whether the patient is suffering from bird flu.

The Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service were brought to handle to situation but they said that there was no evidence of any quarantinable disease and the flight left to Taipei.
