Twin Babies Help Charity

by Medindia Content Team on Dec 29 2005 4:55 PM

Readers from across the world are closely following the progress of twin babies, premature by 15 weeks through the Internet. The twins Aubrey and Edmund Holdcroft weighed less than 2 pounds at birth. The Internet was chosen as a medium by their father Martin to keep his friends and family informed with regard to the progress of the babies who are battling for their lives.

A charity drive is also on to get additional funds for further research regarding premature birth. Over £ 3 million is expected to be raised by the Touching Tiny Lives Campaign of the Action Medical Research, in addition to funds from the Government through the publicity and sympathy the twins are generating. Andy Proctor of the charity believes that the suffering of premature babies can be prevented by further research into the subject. The weblog updates of the twins are becoming increasingly popular worldwide.
