Children’s obesity linked to video games

by Medindia Content Team on Dec 28 2005 8:25 PM

Next generation children’s will be hi-tech whiz kids but would be very obese and lazy as they are more attached to indoor games with no physical activity.

A survey conducted by North East Wales Institute of Higher Education found that there is an increase in obesity in children’s due to no physical activity and poor diet rich in fatty foods due to fast food. Children’s are no more interested in outdoor games and are more confined to Television, video and computer games, which leads to less physical activity as at least 30 minutes of physical activity is required per day for healthy living.
