‘Train The Trainers’ Health programme Inaugurated

BHUBANESWAR: A train the trainers programme for district level trainers was inaugurated by the state health secretary - Mr RN Senapati.

The trainers would provide training to the Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) and recruited under the National Rural Health Mission to help by taking care of new-born babies and pregnant mothers.

About 12,730 ASHAs will be recruited in the state and posted in each Anganwadi centres.

The district level trainers will impart training to block-level trainers, who in turn will train the ASHAs.

Thirty district level trainers from Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara district attended the first phase training programme.
