Vaccination to fowl in Vietnam reduced the spread of bird flu

In Vietnam some regions are under the possible threat of bird flu infection and some cities are free from bird flu infection. Bird flu samples collected from the delta regions of Dong Thap and An Giang have been tested negative to the bird flu virus strain. These regions and other regions are free from infection which were the main source of infecting grounds in the last years epidemic was free this time due to wide spread vaccination which was given to the poultry in these regions last year.

The Ministry of Agriculture in Vietnam have found that 163 communes of 67 districts in Bac Giang, Quang Nam, Thanh Hoa, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Hai Phong, Quang Ngai, Vinh Phuc, Bac Ninh, Son La, Hoa Binh, Thai Binh, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen and Cao Bang are facing a possible threat of bird flu outbreaks.
