An ambulatory medical unit has been set up in Pakistani Kashmir to provide surgery and medical treatment to victims of the devastating earthquake.
The hospital was erected in just 2 hours. The unit comprises of a total of 52 German doctors and other paramedical staff. The mobile unit was transported to Muzaffarabad, the Kashmir capital, in four helicopters.The establishment of the medical facility has proved to be a boon to the victims of the natural disaster. The unit also is equipped to perform any kind of surgery for those who might need them. Work is going on at full swing in the earthquake-hit area, with the medical staff actively participating for the cause.
In addition, a Russian medical team comprising 71 doctors and paramedic staff with two ambulances has also been deputed in Muzaffarabad. Two Japanese teams comprising 30 doctors and paramedic staff are also on their way to the city.
