A recent Canadian study pointed out that taking beer is very good for health. The study says that a glass of beer has the same health benefits as a glass of red wine.
According to John Trevithick, a lead researcher "One drink of beer or stout contributes an amount of antioxidants benefit equal to wine".
A catch here is that while one beer provides all the good benefits if consumed as a larger dose, can be harmful.
The study says that larger daily intakes like three beers can actually contribute to increased and hastened diseases. Diabetes, heart diseases and cancer are more likely to happen to people on larger doses daily.
The risks increase with the doses. So moderation is the key to prevention.
