California -- A woman in California has done herself and her new born proud. The mama is the first in the United States to give birth to a baby that was conceived with a frozen egg and sperm.

The woman , Adrienne Domasin, 36, was given a dismal picture about her chances of having a baby with the conventional method. Apparently, her fallopian tubes were blocked. The single mother had lost all hopes of having a baby, something she wanted more than anything in the world. Adrienne could not go in for IVF treatments due to financial constraints. It was then that she decided to join the study conducted by Extend Fertility.

Sperm freezing has been around for decades, but freezing an egg was only meant for women who suffered from illnesses which could leave them infertile . These days, women who want to have a baby after their 30’s prefer to freeze their eggs for use at a later stage. Statitistcs show that almost 200 children all over the world ow their existence to this fertility method that employs frozen eggs and sperms.
