Germany - Meet the youngest sex change patient in the world, with the new name, Kim. Prior to the sex change, he was known as Tim, and was diagnosed to be a transsexual. Subsequently he was given powerful hormone injections to initiate breast development.
Tim had all along desired to be a girl, making claims that he was trapped in a wrong body. He had pressed for some reprieve in the form of treatment. Kim who is 14 years now, is a female as per legal records. She looks like a girl with all the typical girlish qualities.Dr. Bern Meyenburg, the head of a clinic for children and adolescents said, "Kim is a mentally well-developed child who appears happy and balanced. There is no doubt of the determined wish, that was already detectable since early childhood. It would have been very wrong to let Kim grow up to be a man. It is rare to have such a clear-cut case."
When Kim turns 18, after confirmation from psychiatrists about the child’s transexuality, the final procedure of sex change will be performed; this will involve surgically removing the male genitilia.
