Ethnic Background Influences Health, Study

Australia – A survey by the New South Wales health department in Australia chose to understand the relationship between cultural background and its influence on health.

The study conducted over three years covered a gamut of 56000 people who responded to a survey. The results showed that a greater proportion of people born in Italy and Greece suffer from diabetes, in comparison with others.

New Zealanders were physically more active than other ethnic groups. People born in China, Vietnam and Lebanon portrayed significantly lower incidences of asthma as compared to the rest of the lot.
