Poultry farms in Thailand to be Sanitized.

by Savitha C Muppala on Nov 20 2006 5:09 PM

The Thailand government has issued a directive to the provincial livestock authorities to ensure all poultry farms are sanitized, as a strategy to prevent potential bird flu that had left an indelible loss to the poultry industry.

Yukol Limlamthong, the person at the helm at the Department of Livestock Development confirmed that this move has been taken up following the recent deluge in the central provinces. Thailand has been free from bird flu for more than three months, he confirmed. As per the directive, all farms in Thailand will begin the cleaning operation as the waters retreat.
