"More than one-third people coming for pathological examinations are malaria or dengue positive," said a doctor Tuesday here.

Karauli, Bharatpur, Alwar, Sikar, Jodhpur and Barmer are other places, which have reported large number of malaria and dengue cases.

Meanwhile, the state government has taken steps to control the spread of these diseases. It has appointed 360 mobile teams to offer treatment in the affected areas.

The medical and health department Principal Secretary Sudhir Bhargava said intensive campaign was being run on the basis of the special strategy. The mobile units were identifying malaria patients from door-to-door and providing speedy treatment on the spot.

Along with the treatment, blood samples were being collected, he added.

Bhargava said the mobile teams were treating patients in the 2,469 villages of the 12 recently flood affected districts besides others.
