Dermasalve Sciences PLC, a company that manufactures a lot of skincare products, said that its new hand gel product was capable of killing the H5N1 bird flu virus in 30 seconds.
Dermasalve Sciences added that it had received confirmation from Retroscreen Virology Ltd, a European contract Virology research company for the hand gel, which was jointly developed with Drug Delivery Solutions Limited ('DDS').It also said that the tests confirmed that it had a 99.99 percent kill activity in 30 seconds after a single application of the gel. It remains active for 30 minutes. Mass production is to being in October, the company said.
