Intelligent Eating: Benefits of low-calorie high-nutrition

New York- Low calorie foods that are high in nutrition may be the best way to eat a lot during a day without the fear of piling calories. After studying the dietary details of about 7500, adults, researchers found that those who ate more of fruits, vegetables and grains were likely to consume a larger quantity of food than those who consumed rich food. The surprising bit was, despite consuming a lot of food, their calorie count was much less than those who ate richer food.

It is well known that fruits and vegetables have a high water and fiber content which attribute to the low calorie density. This is not the case with sugar, fat, fast foods, and chips which are dense in calories. It is certainly a healthy choice to include more vegetable, salads, and fruits in the diet which is loaded with nutrition and deficient in calories.
