Anti-Polio Drive to be Stepped up in Ghaziabad

The Uttar Pradesh government has asked medical officials in the district to ensure polio drops are given to every child in villages of Loni and Bhojpur blocks where two suspected cases of the disease were reported last month.

The directives were issued by the UP Health Secretary and the district Chief Medical Officer M P Singh had been informed about it, District Magistrate M K S Sundaram said today.

Authorities have spent around Rs 6 crore in eight months on the polio immunisation programme in the district.
