Mainpuri will be the first district in Uttar Pradesh to impart sex education to girl students of 70 junior high schools, officials said today.
The state government had selected Mainpuri and Allahabad districts to start the sex education in which girls will be educated about the HIV/AIDS and other sex-related problems, they said.
Interactions and discussions will be held apart from distribution of study material to the students in the class, they added.
